Thank you for your willingness to volunteer and help a family live in safe, affordable, and decent housing.

Here are your volunteer options:

Volunteers perform any of the following:
• Assist customers
• Load, unload, and move furniture, appliances, lighting, etc.
• Clean and polish furniture appliances, lighting, etc.
• Stock shelves
• Cashier
The store is located at 34 Shunpike Rd, Cromwell. The hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 10am-4pm. You can volunteer whatever hours are convenient for you.

Home Build
Volunteers perform any of the following:
• House framing, including sheathing and rigid insulation
• Installation of windows and exterior doors
• Siding
• Interior trim, doors, floors, cabinets
• Paint
• Installation of limited landscaping and lawn seeding
• Construction of exterior shed

There are no home builds at this time. Our next build will be in East Hampton. Please check our website for updates.

Committees - Meets once a month
Board of Directors - Sets long range goals for the organization and ensures that we are working towards these goals. Members also serve on other committees. Meets the 3rd Tuesday at 6:00pm.
Homeowner Services - Members are responsible for reviewing all qualified homeowner applications, scheduling and attending home visits, and supporting the homeowners after move in. Meeting time to be determined.
Resource Development - Members are responsible for creating the yearly fund development plan, donor support plan, strategizing for the future of MHFH, identifying resources and recommending action to acquire the resources to raise funds and gift-in-kind donations from corporations, churches, individuals, foundations and through special events to support MHFH's annual and long-range goals and objectives. Members work on donor retention and cultivation; participates in donor appreciation activities and building relationships with potential donors. Meeting time to be determined.
Faith Based Relations - Members are responsible for working with local faith-based organizations to spread awareness of MHFH.
Finance - Members are responsible for managing the budget monthly and presenting to the Board on a monthly basis along with providing a year over year comparison.
Governance - Members are responsible for assisting the Board in fulfilling its responsibilities with respect to matters relating to governance of MHFH and identify and recommending to the Board candidates.
